Cars may be a great way to get from place to place, however if you really want to get behind the scenes and see what is really going on, walking is the only way to do it. One our San Francisco Food Tour of North Beach\Little Italy or Chinatown, we get remined of that every day. For many people, they prefer driving a car, however for me, I always prefer walking. In addition to being able see more, it’s a lot less stressful. When I’m walking, I can take my time, if I want to stop and look at something, I can do that. When I’m driving, I’ve got to be alert the whole time, deal with traffic, other drivers, road problems, and anything else that might come up.
On our San Francisco Food Tours, we always get surprised by some great places to stop. Just yesterday, we found a group in Chinatown having an impromptu concert. We just stopped and enjoyed the concert. It became even better when one of the musicians handed someone in our group one of the musical instruments and invited us to join them. We had a great time and it was lot of fun. I just can’t imagine having that kind of experience if we were driving. Just one time, where walking was a lot more fun than driving.
