On our San Francisco Food Tour of North Beach\Little Italy and Chinatown, we always have a great time whenever there is a festival in San Francisco. This time of year, Chinese New Year festivities are going on, so it’s a great of year to be in Chinatown. The weekend after next will be the Chinese New Year’s Parade and, as usual, it will be really fun. It’s a really fun parade to watch, however going Chinatown this month is just full of surprises.
On our San Francisco Food Tours, we have a great tine enjoying all of the surprises this time of year. Along Stockton Street, each side of the street as has booth after booth of special things for the Chinese New Year’s. From special treats to special crafts each booth is a different surprise. Along Grant Avenue, we just enjoyed the Flower Market Fair, where all kinds of flowers are displayed and sold for the holiday. Next weekend, we’ll have the Community Fair along Grant week, more booths with great foods and gifts. All around Chinatown, each store will have special surprises for the holiday. The great thing is during our Chinatown tour, we get to take it all in, from the lion dances to flowers to special crafts. All in all, it’s a great to be in Chinatown!
