We’re getting close to Thanksgiving on our San Francisco Food Tours

MAR
212016

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the previous year and give thanks for all that is good in our lives. This year, many of us look at what is happening and wonder what those things. We see a rock and tumble political campaign and try to make sense of it. I often think that you can tell a lot about a person, based on how they view others.

One way to tell how someone views others is how they react to someone else who has been abused or hurt. Do they feel the pain of others or do they add to the pain of others? In other words, when they need to make hard decisions, will they be able to empathize with others. Anyone can read a speech or make pronouncements. That’s easy. It’s the decisions that are made behind the scenes, when the public does not see them that can have most impact of all of us. When those decisions are made, their ability to empathize with the pain that others are feeling than can have a serious impact of their decision-making.

When I see someone attacks victims tells me a great deal about their ability to emphasize with others. When someone responds by hugging a bullying victim, it tells us a great deal about what they think. That tells us a great deal about whom they are. As the Best San Francisco Food Tours, that is what we consider, when we go to vote this time of year.
