This time of year, the holiday season, is when we look at what is really important on our San Francisco Food Tours. In reality, it’s not the food, it’s not the stops, it’s the people in our lives. We all get busy with work and other things and sometimes we lose track of the people in our lives, whether it is friends or family. Facebook and Twitter are nice, but nothing can substitute for being with others in person. Facebook can do a lot of things, but you can’t physically touch or hug someone else over the Internet.
That probably sounds like something that everyone says, however it’s very true. We all get caught doing our thing and we forget about the people in our lives. Perhaps the solution is to set aside times for that. Without that we turn and wonder how we lost touch. Days become months, months become years and years become decades. And then it becomes so long that we don’t know how to reconnect.
For example, if you give someone one of our San Francisco Gift Certificates, make part of the gift to either join them or to meet them after and go do something together. Even it is nothing more than to get a cup of coffee. And then set another time to see them. And then keep doing that.
