Spring is coming we’re hoping that this is a time for renewal on our San Francisco Food Tours. Sometime renewal seems difficult, sometimes it seems like one is swimming upstream. While California has its point of view, the question is how does jive with the view from the coast of the country. While California seems to be looking to the future, it seems to us sometimes like other areas of the country are looking to the past. Yet true renewal requires looking to the future.
When someone is looking to the past, the only reflection seems what he or she is telling himself or herself already. When someone willing to embrace the future, it only works if one is willing to see what he or she either do not expect to see or is willing to reconsider their point of view based on what they see.
The advantage of looking to the future is one is willing to see the future in realistic views is the one gets to be part of the future. If one is looking to the past, one remains there. In that case, there is no opportunity for renewal. If one looks at what is happening in other parts of the country it seems like many of the “solutions” seems to parts of the past that never worked.
In order to have the Best San Francisco, we need to constantly look to the future. It requires that we embrace renewal. The question for all of us is always whether we want to be part of the future or be part of the past.
